Pieter & Jackie - Engagement

The weekend was not looking good with rainy weather predicted. Pieter and Jackie came from Kempton Park, a distance to travel for a photo shoot at the lovely guest house, Koelen Rust in Muldersdrift. We were welcomed by Anton, the general manager, with a warm cup of coffee and gave us hope for the shoot. Jackie and Pieter both dressed in a ray of blue colours that made it perfect for our shades of green surroundings. The cloud cover stayed but no rain fell. It was perfect and we could get all the shots that we wanted.

Pieter and Jackie was a lot of fun to photograph. They are natural posers with smiles that will lit up a room. Good luck on the venture of moving down to Cape Town. I'm looking forward to the wedding in Cape Town(If i make the cut as photographer :-) )

Giving joy to new life – Trinette’s Baby Shower

I was told by a dear friend, Natassja, that she would be going to a baby shower on the weekend. I asked if I could capture this joyous occasion for the new mom to be. Trinette agreed and I joined the celebrations with camera in hand. Family and friends gathered at the clubhouse, filled with colourful balloons, snacks, cake, juice and lets not forget all the gifts for the new life coming soon.

After chatting with Trinette, I noticed that she is crazy about photos and keeping memories. I'm glad to have shared my passion for photography with her and can not wait to give her the memories of the day.

Thanks for the opportunity Trinette. The little one is very lucky to have you guys as parents with the love that was shown on saterday.

Art by Trudie & Willem McCarthy

Being an artist myself, I was invited by friends to view and photograph their art. Trudie and Willem McCarthy, newly made friends, had their lovely art work displayed at Boekehuis in Auckland Park. Trudie, the fine art artist with a bubbly personality, love’s using pencil and oil paint to create the visions that fills her mind. Broken tiles, chairs, iron or even a peace of wooden board can be turned into master peace by Willem. He goes crazy putting things together to form the most attractive creations. It was so much fun capturing art with camera.

I’m looking forward to the creativity of Trudie and Willem for this year’s paintings, drawings and creations.

Peter + Yvonne = 300 Guests

1 Handsome groom + 1 breath taking bride = 300 family and friends. It was a wedding to be remembered by all that joined in the celebrations. Benvenuti wedding venue was the setting for the BIG celebration of Peter and Yvonne’s wedding. There was life size banners with the happy couple all over the garden (of cause it was my arty work with the engagement shoot :). Peter practiced his angel like voice before the ceremony and sounded very calm and collective.

Slowly the very colourfully dressed family and friends took their seats under a large white roof. Peter could not belief his eyes when his bride to be came walking down a long white path towards him. He took her by the hand and sang her the most beautiful song to proclaim his love for her.

Traditional Indian food, brightly coloured saris, dancing and heart touching speeches made this a wonderful occasion.

Thank you Peter and Yvonne, it was truly a fairytale wedding for me to capture.
